Review information. Platform: PC. Time played: 20 hours. Age of Empires IV is your classic RTS game in every sense of the word - and not in the least because of its status as a spiritual successor
The most useful guide for me thus far was this video: Age of Empires 2 The Conquerors: How To Rush Tutorial/Rush Defense by Ilumiknight. It teaches a number of useful things: How to get your economy going quickly. Your town center should never be idle. Building your base in a defensive way How to properly handle a rush
Here are my findings: AOE 2 has plenty of strategical options, exploration and expansion, lots o army combinations for every civ, but they are almost identical, the skill ceiling is very high and the first half of every game is a bit slow. AOM is almost like AOE 2 but the maps feel a bit smaller and the expansion is more driven by the map
Age of Empires II is actually a better RTS than SC2. It is more fun, better balanced and the level of unfair and frustrating stuff is minimal compared to SC2. I do not think I have had this much fun with a computer game in a very long time. 6 Likes. NoobEngineer-1520 January 5, 2021, 7:35pm #2.
Hello again, I made this thread Tool to Improve Performance & Responsiveness Of Age of Empires II DE two weeks ago on how I improved my benchmark score from 1000 to 1114 using my old Nvidia GT630M. Well this time and using the latest Sensei DE along with a trick I explained in this video
I'd pick rise of nations or aoe 3 for casual skirmish games personally (mostly because I like muskets and rifles). Rise of nations is better though, and I don't think aoe 3 DE is out. If you're looking for competitive play, aoe 2. Or if you're just looking for an ai that can put up a fight without cheats.
No, do not get the latest available Stronghold. If you haven't played the original Stronghold, that's a good one to try. Stronghold 2 is pretty good. I like Crusader better, but others like 2 more. I also happen to like Stronghold Legends, but that one's a bit more controversial. I have no idea what the latest AoE game is.
The Age of Kings is set in the Middle Ages and contains thirteen playable civilizations. They are the Britons, Byzantines, Celts, Goths, Teutons, Franks, Mongols, Chinese, Japanese, Persians
